Hunter Biden’s previous employer, Boies Scheiller Flexner, was granted $10 million in forgivable pandemic loans by the federal government. They also gave nearly $1million to Democratic candidates, an independent investigation found.

Boies, one of the 300 largest law firms, took the $10.14m loan from the Paycheck Protection Program. This program was established by the Trump Administration in 2020 to aid mom-and pop businesses during the pandemic. The loan was cancelled in 2021.

The firm was led by David Boies (longtime Joe Biden donor), and in 2020 and 2021 it billed $480m to clients. Equity partners also earned $4.5m.

Boies employees and partners donated $1 million to federal campaigns during the 2020 and 2022 elections cycles.

Hunter Biden was the first son to be “of counsel” at Boies. He earned $216,000 annually as a “no-show job” that did not require him attending meetings or keeping regular office hours.
