Washington, USA, December 10, 2010 (ANI): Friday’s announcement by the United States Defence Department of a new military assistance package in USD 275million for Ukraine was made. This package includes ammunition for high mobility artillery missile systems (HIMARS), additional ammunition for 80,000 155mm artillery rounds, and counter-Unmanned Aerial System equipment.
The US also announced an assistance package that includes counter-air defense capability, high mobility multipurpose wheels vehicles (HMMWVs), ambulances, medical equipment, and around 150 generators. This announcement is made amid ongoing war between R ussia und Ukraine.
According to the US Defense Department, more than USD 19.3 billion worth of military assistance has been provided by the United States since R ussia launched its military offensive against Ukraine on February 24, 2018. The US has provided military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine since the attack on Kyiv by Moscow.
The US Defence Department stated in a press release that “This security assistance package will give Ukraine new capabilities to boost her air defenses and provide critical equipment that Ukraine is ing so effectively on the battlefield.”
Antony Blinken, US Secretary of State, stated that the United States will continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine to assist it in its defense against the “brutal and unprovoked attack” by R sia.
Blinken said that the US has drawn down 27 arms and equipment from Ukraine in the most recent military package since Aug ust 2021. He stressed that the US will continue to work with more than 40 allies and partners to support Ukraine as they defend their freedom and independence.Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that the frontline situation remains “very difficult” in Bakhmut, Soledar, Maryinka and Kreminna regions of Donbass, according to the statement released by the Ukrainian President’s office.
