President Murmu, PM Modi, others pay tribute to Dr BR Ambedkar on death anniversary

Dr. BR Ambedkar was honored today by President Droupadi Mumurmu, PM Modi, and other political leaders on the occasion of his death anniversary.

India Today Web Desk – President Droupadi Mumu, Prime Minster Narendra Modi (Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge), former Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, and other leaders paid tributes on the occasion of B R Ambedkar’s death.

PM Modi, Vice President Jagdeep and President Murmu paid floral tributes today at Parliament complex.

Mahaparinirvan Diwas was popularly called Mahaparinirvan Diwas because Dr Bhimrao ambedkar was a follower and adherent of Buddhism. According to Buddhist scriptures, the death of Lord Buddha is called Mahaparinirvan. This Sanskrit term refers to ‘nirvana beyond death’.

PM Modi responded to the tweet by writing, “On Mahaparinirvan Day, I pay homage Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. We recall his exceptional service to our country.” His struggle brought hope to millions of people and his efforts to create India’s extensive Constitution will never be forgotten.

Congress MP Rahul Ghandi also paid tribute to Ambedkar on Twitter, posting a picture of Ambedkar with the caption, “My Honour to Babasaheb Ambedkar.” His life and his message inspired us daily to work for justice for everyone. Jai Bhim.”

Many politicians and leaders paid tribute to BR Ambedkar, a social reformer, philosopher and anthropologist, historian and writer.

Bhimrao Ambedkar was conceived on 14 April 1891. Ambedkar’s legacy includes many memorials and depictions of him in popular culture. As a sociopolitical reformer, he had a greater impact on India’s modern history.
