Air India’s chief executive officer said that the airline has de-registered one pilot and four cabin crew members as it investigates the handling by an unruly passenger aboard a November flight from New York to Delhi.

After an incident that occurred on a Nov. 26 flight, in which a male passenger was apparently drunk, the Tata group-owned airline received criticism from India’s aviation regulator. The incident involved a female passenger who urinated on another male passenger.

Last month, a second incident similar occurred on a flight between Paris and Delhi.

“Air India recognizes that it could handle these matters better, both on the ground as well as in flight,” Campbell Wilson, the CEO and managing director of the airline, said in a statement Saturday.

Wilson stated that Air India has taken multiple steps to improve its response to incidents like these, including reviewing airline policies and reporting procedures.

Wells Fargo (WFC.N) has terminated the employment of a male passenger who was accused of misbehaving on the New York-Delhi flight. The bank stated that the bank had received the complaint on Friday and said it was working with local law enforcement.

According to local media, the Indian police had taken the passenger into custody on Saturday.

Wilson stated that Air India will cooperate fully with the affected passenger, regulators, and law enforcement authorities.

He stated that “We are committed in providing a safe environment to customers and crew as well as operating within full compliance with all laws, regulations and policies.”
