Tuesday was the launch day for Gigabyte’s new gaming laptops in India. The company launched more laptops in the G5 series that are geared towards the lower-end segment. The new range features the 12th generation Intel Core i5 CPU and Nvidia RTX 3360 graphics.
The range starts at around Rs 77,000, and can go all the way to Rs 1,03,000. Let’s have a closer look at the details.
New specifications and features of the Gigabyte G5 series
The new Gigabyte G5 lineup includes three laptops: Gigabyte G5 KE and Gigabyte G5 me. The Intel Core i5 CPU powers the entire line and shares a similar design.
The Gigabyte G5 Series features a matte-black finish and a 15.6 inch Full HD display. You can enjoy a high refresh rate of 144Hz for all your gaming needs. The Intel Core i5-12500H processor is used in all three models. It operates at a base frequency 2.5 GHz, and a maximum frequency 4.5 GHz.
It is paired at 3200MHz with 8GB DDR4 RAM. Storage is available in all models with 512GB of M.2 Generation 4 SSD storage.
The Gigabyte G5 KE, which is the top-end model, has a 6GB Nvidia RTX3060 CPU. The Gigabyte G5 GE comes with a 4GB Nvidia RTX 3150Ti GPU and the Gigabyte G5 MT has a 4.5GB Nvidia RTX 3150Ti GPU.
The G5 series’ purpose is gaming. It comes with Gigabyte WINDFORCE cooling technology. Laptops are equipped with dual fans that have 59 blades, five heat pipes and four exhaust vents. This is to dissipate heat created while gaming.
All three batteries are 54Wh. They can charge at 180W on the G5 KE, 150W for the G5 ME or G5 GE. The trio runs Windows 11 Home Edition. They also come with a Microsoft Office 365 Personal copy for 1 year.

The Gigabyte G5 GE comes in at Rs 77.887 and the G5ME at Rs 85.801. While the G5 KE costs around Rs 1,038,890, the G5 GE is at Rs 1,032,890. The laptops are preloaded with Microsoft Office 365, come with a 2-year guarantee and a 2-year storage warranty.
